Going to Heaven?
For some time now many evangelistic presentations have been focused on salvation as 'getting into heaven.' Among others, I think of the two primary questions of Evangelism Explosion. "If you died today, would you be sure that you're going to heaven?" and "Why should God let you into heaven?"
There was an interesting study done by the SBC's North American Mission Board. One of the questions asked how often people thought about that first question. Here is the result.

Interesting, huh? The vast majority of people NEVER think about it.
I can think of two possible applications:
1. People may need to be reminded that it is something worth thinking about. One responsibility we have in sharing our faith is to get people thinking.
2. Perhaps people are getting tired of Christians only talking about heaven all the time. There is certainly much more to the Christian life than heaven. Perhaps it makes sense that the recent bestseller "Purpose Driven Life" is not entitled 'how to get to heaven.' More to come...
