Gone Fishin'


"Come follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men" (Matthew 4:19, NIV).

Jack Selcher has been trying to follow Jesus for forty years and has done his share of fishing along the way as well. He has experienced a lot of hits and misses in both areas. Jack worked as an aquatic biologist with the Pennsylvania Fish Commission between 1972 and 1976, and has fished since he was five-years-old (not continuously!). He has been Associate for Discipleship and Evangelism in the Eastern Regional Conference since 1995. In this ten-lesson, small group evangelism curriculum he demonstrates that fishing and evangelism have a lot in common. His vision is to equip, encourage and empower you to attract, win, and assimilate a constant stream of co-workers, friends, neighbors and relatives to Christ and your church.
