Welcome

Welcome to the ERC Evangelism Blog.  Many of you signed up at our Conference Sessions and are new here.

Thank you so much for your participation at Conference - signing up for this blog and visiting our booth.

This blog is to have two primary purposes.

1. To share information about evangelism training events, resources etc.

2. To share ideas, successes and have discussions about evangelism.

PLEASE be a part of this by interacting with one another in the comments section of each post by sharing your thoughts and reactions to what has been posted.

ALSO, send me your own stuff - book reviews, outreaches that your church has done, questions, resources, anything!  Email them to me at dmasshardt@gmail.com  and I will get them posted at regular intervals.

Thank you so much for being a part of this.  It is our prayer that God will use this as a springboard to get us excited about sharing the gospel and seeing lives transformed as people encounter Jesus Christ!

The number one evangelistic tool that many of us believers forget to take full of vantage of is prayer. In my devotions this morning I read a quote from Oswald Chambers in a book titled "Oswald Chambers: Growing Deeper with God" (ISBN 1-56955-007-7) that reminded me that evangelism is about God's work through His people, rather than our work for God.

"You cannot argue men into coming to Jesus, or socialize them into coming. Only one thing will do it, and that is the power of the gospel drawing men by the constraint of God's grace." (pg 176)

I pray that evangelism is not something I do for God, but something that God will do through me for His glory.

Just wanted to share what God spoke to my heart about this morning.
